Description More of the same. Ive been working on this model off and on again, getting it ready for animation. Fixed a ton of polygon errors, re-rigged it and ran it thru a different renderer.

Oh gack!!! >_< How are you animating it, moving entire grouped parts or, each one by themselves? Will this monster move like an old metal spider, all cranky and bouncy? Or, will it walk steady forward?

I always wanted to ask you: WHERE did you get references for building this amazing robot? DonΒ΄t tell me it came just from your mind? O_O"

And one last question (haha, sorry^^), do you plan on posting the final video on YouTube or something?

Keep up the good work, man!
I am your fan, really.

Indeed - If I had any traditional art skills at all Id post my rough storyboards... But they are pretty sad, so thats going to have to wait

Most of my reference for everything I make comes from either photos Ive taken (I always have a camera with me) or from books. I have about 30 big photo-books about trains, cranes and all sorts of stuff. For some reason I find I can work better from books or photos Ive taken than the random pics I can find on the internet.

When the animation is done Ill definately be posting it - Dont expect it to be soon tho XD Im terrible about finishing my personal projects!

Thanks for all your compliments!

Wow! that's absolutely amazing, I started getting into 3D modeling and animation over the summer and realize how much effort and vision something like that must take! Which program do you use?

I modeled it in Lightwave originally, but those renders came out of 3D Max / Vray.

cool, thanks. Right now I just have the PLE of Maya. I haven't tried 3D max or the others.

Yup, i just did two projects at the same time in 3ds max for college and i don't even have time to clean my butt, and i have business matters to still take care of. My mind will implode or explode if i continue this way, but slowly but surely I'm getting stuff done! Thanks for asking me, it relieves stress! XD

Dude! that's crazy! The first thing that came through my head was, this is like the inner workings of Iron Man, it needs his suit.

but you can leave it like this, it's your choice
