Description
Whatever events occured that lead to the girls being trapped in a box, you can count on two things: 1) Jade's ticked, and 2) it's Emerald's fault. Ruby's hoping Crystal gets them out in time and Sapphire is two seconds from asking Jade if she realizes Emerald's tail is within her reach.

Why doesn't Emerald just use her horns to stab through the box to A: be able to tear it more easily and B: at least use as air holes at least till one of them find out how to escape?

Well this was drawn on paper using a micron pen, then I fixed it up a little in Photoshop elements. That's about it. Hehe Thanks hun

This is a brilliant picture!
I love the idea of a picture of several people squashed into a small box/space, because it gives an opportunity to see them in interesting, contorted positions - not only by themselves but in relation to each other as well. And you know what? This picture lives up to that oppurtunity brilliantly! The Jewel Carriers' positions are so realistic and well drawn - they really give the impression that the five of them really ARE squashed into a box. Their facial expressions are very effective at giving that impression, too - Crystal's grumpy look as she strains against the barrier, Jade looking angry and frantic as she struggles in the confined space, Emerald gritting her teeth and lowering part of her brow in exertion/worry, and even Sapphire and Ruby's slightly worried expressions.
If you took away the background, it would STILL look like the Jewel Carriers were stuck in a box - that's how well you've drawn them.
By the way, I don't mind that you forgot Sapphire's antennae. You've put in loads of attention to detail as it is - Emerald's tail curling around Jade... Ruby's tail, which I can see behind Emerald... Crystal's leg, which I can see beyond Jade's legs... all those little details make this scene look all the more realistic. You have a real talent for drawing anatomy. You're really good at drawing different body parts in proportion to each other, and from different perspectives, to make characters' positions and poses seem realistic. I noticed that when I saw your fantastic sketches of Shadow the Hedgehog sitting down and Sonic the Hedgehog stretching - and when I saw that VERY impressive sketch of Jade doing a backflip. But this picture takes that skill to a whole new level! You've drawn FIVE characters, who are stuck close to each other in a cramped space... and you managed to make it look convincing! I'm really impressed.
Also, I like the shading in this picture. Most of it has a blurry edge, and shifts smoothly from light to dark areas - I like that kind of shading. It looks like you put a lot of time and thought into applying different levels of shading in different areas - the side of Sapphire's muzzle... the top of her muzzle... Crystal's fur... Ruby's fingers... and so on.
So, all in all, this is a wonderfully drawn, and quite funny, picture, with loads of small, interesting details for people to discover if they look hard enough.
