Description "
It was already 1h35 but Toris couldn't rest even a little.
He had been entrusted by the King and Queen themselves to investigate the strange prophecy of the Joker.

Of course, Gilbert didn't even visit them, as he was only fond of the King of Heart for unknown reason (and suspicious one if you may), and neither did Peter, their assignated Joker, but the spy network of Elizabetha had done their job well and relayed these 'prophetic' words: " Kesese !! It's so exciting and awesome you will see!! It's something long forgotten but that will awaken to furfill it's purpose once more! But I can't tell you more, you will have to find out by yourself!"
Such a wise way to deliver a prophecy, really.
But still rising the countless questions : What will awaken exactly? A lost weapon? A beast? A hero from the past? An artefact of power? It was his mission to discover it the sooner, before the Heart Kingdom could seize that mysterious thing.

He hadn't been chosen out of nowhere of course : He was, reallly close behind her Majesty, the most knowledgable person of the kingdom in magic.
Clubs wasn't exactly known for their magic, in fact, it tended to be left over as they were the country of technology. They liked innovation that could be used by the mass, all the people of the kingdom in relative equality, and wizardry tended to be regarded as a privilege of hight society. The perfect opposite of the Spades Kingdom so proud of their magic but living like in the Middle Age, allergic to the new.
Even their Queen Elizabetha was the only Queen of the 4 kingdoms to be less attracted by magic, preferring battling, might be surpassing some Kings in their own field.

Thus, as a former Queen Pretender with innate talent for magic, Toris had became the High Magus in charge of studying the Ancient library of Clubs that contained all the secret of their past, as well as a master of casting spells when needed to replace the Queen in that part of the job.
He was fine with it, there was the advantage of being a bookworm and less private interaction with the King that could be sometime....overwhelming. That woman was a strong nature, he always though she was perfect in her role even when people criticized her rise to power as questionable and not fitting.
It was true,  she had been chosen because of excellent relationship between the royal family and her knight and aristocrat own one.
Be that as it may, she was still the only fitting one to handle Ivan, gaining respect from him and it was too rare to not be highlighted.

"...Oh no, I've lost it again...You must stay focus Toris!!"

Staying so late at night studying random books not knowing where you were going was exhausting and the High Magus's mind had started to wander into useless reflexions.
Maybe it was time for a rest, but as he was thinking of getting one, he suddenly noticed something strange. Like a shadow over him.
He first though he was being hallucinating, more evidence of his tiredness, but then the wind invited itself and move pages of the book he was consulting.
Except that there couldn't be wind in the library, there was no open windows.
The High Magus frowned and turned his head right to left, asking if someone was there.

That's when he heard a whirstle answering and froze. Some...someone or something had answered, and it was just behind him.
Preparing a spell of projection in his hand, he made a 180° turn, ready to defend himself, but nothing could be seen.
Breathing heavily, he searched with his eyes on the darkest corner of the library from his spot, tracking movement, but he could only see one of the machine helping to grab books that were too hight for you.
How could someone/something dissapear so quickly? A shame there was no camera here to caught it on a photography.
Toris didn't found that night what had disturbed his search, but he decided it was too much for today and flee the place, casting a spell on all the doors to close them. He was going to call the guards and maybe find the intruder, trapped by his spells, although he doubted to catch it.

And he was right, they found nothing.

He hadn't even opened his eyes yet  that he had known the world had changed greatly.
He couldn't tell how long he had 'been hibernating', or more correctly, been sealed, but magic had decreased over time, some so faint when back in the day, it was an overwhelming sensation.
Nobody had awaken him apparently, he had spontaneously woken up, which indicated 'He' didn't want to use his power again, which also mean it wasn't needed.
It was fine then, he could just go back to where he belonged, if his Queen accepted him that is.
Flying around a little, he had been discreet and had wandered in town and then went to the castle, but he couldn't recognize everything.
There was strange machines replacing the animals, and even the castle didn't look familiar at all. It had been destroyed, so it was normal that it was rebuild anew, to forget about what happened.

But there was something he recognized and that didn't changed : the Library. Of course, he didn't know it was a library, he wouldn't be able to put words and meaning on this building as it was an human concept. He just recognized the architecture, the glass windows of clubs he liked.
Thus, he had been attracted to this familiar sight and went to look inside by the windows, then using his ability to merge with it, and pass through it, entering the sanctuary of knowledge.
He closed his eyes has he smelled the dust and that scent of old books and moisture, feeling joy in it, but also noticing the force of an aura that felt almost familiar.
Not quite a Queen, a pretender Queen, he recognized.
He searched for the sources and found it, reading with concetration one of the books.
Curious, he approached in mid-air, something he wouldn't do usually, being a lonely soul that didn't like to attract attention (not like a certain hearty Ace of Hugs!), and looked at the man and at the volume.
What could be so interesting in looking at papers like this, he had always wondered. He remembered his Queen passing hours in here, not disturbed by anything like if these pieces of paper could open some bubble-world isolating you from the rest of the world.

Finally, the man seemed to notice his presence, and as he didn't want to be seen, he decided to leave. But he was polite, he answered to the question he was asked, before rapidly spinning toward a shelf and merging with it, passing through the books and in the wall as part of it.
From a far again, he watched the man searching for him and sealing the doors. But that was useless.

He was the Ace of Clubs, and in his kingdom, he could control matters as he wished. Foolish human!
That's how he passed through the wall again, and dissapeared, like he had never existed."

Here, I hadn't done the Ace of Clubs yet, whereas he is the one I've the most background about! XD
I decided to explain in the story how the Kingdom of Clubs work instead of the usual explanation at end of 'chapter'!
