Description
Introducing: Duke and Missi of my final animation project (to be completed by July 1st)about VAMPIRES!
Until then- crazy shenanigans ensue.
Yeah, I'm not huge on character design- but their movement totally makes up for how uninteresting they look, I swear.
Better get familiar with these two 'cause they are the center of my existence since October
and will keep dominating my life until I finish this project.
I have never worked so long and so hard on the same single project, and I used to make comics with 80 pages per chapter...
It wouldn't bother me so much had it not been for the fact that I literally do NOTHING else all day every day
since January 25th (even though technically I started working on it since October, I was still in the middle of my last semester, so I did other homework as well. Huge waste of animation time if you ask me).
Hello! That's... a lot of work for one project!
Hell, even in SVA when they do their thesis films they still get colorists to help them out, here I'm on my own- doing the work of 5-6 people.
It's a sacrifice to the soul.

Anyway, I wonder how would that vampire react to Twilight...

We~ll I wanna say "just wait and see" but I already submitted this --> chibidondc.deviantart.com/art/…
so... in other words: "get that shit outta here".
Great... I've had ONE final project to do in my lifetime
and I wasted it on bashing "twilight"...

So far I love the hell out of it ^^
I swear to god: if Voltaire's not gonna like it after all the time and effort I put into it- I'm gonna kill myself
and then I'm gonna come back from the dead and kill him and then I'm gonna kill myself again.

For the moment it's probably the best thing I've ever done
especially seeing how even my teachers almost never give me any notes for improvement,
most of the time they're like "yeah, that's good, keep going" and that's very unusual because
the teachers in my school are hard core and they criticize EVERYTHING
(it's not like design schools in Europe where they do nothing all year round, my school is super strict and we're used to having our balls crushed).

ohreally?XDDD well.... I mean.. I guess you guys will learn more, get better at stuff if its that strict, though I can't help but feel a bit bad for you haha
I dont go to any design school myself anyway.... just dying with physics and math... I'm not even good at it... yet I for some reason chose to study this

One of our animation teachers is from Belgium so he told us how the European schools work
and from what I've heard the lowest ranked designers from our school are still better than their average designers.
I guess sitting on your ass all day and not being criticized by your teachers won't get you far.
Welp- at least you'll have a good job with a decent salary at the end
and I'm gonna be poor.

cool, I've had a conducter from Belgium.
Actually I don't have a hard time believing that. from what I've seen the level actualy does seem quite low.
if you can't take critique than I don't think you stand a chance in the proffesional industry XD it's a tough place to be, scares me a bit
well, I mean.. that is if I can actually pass it XDD its really hard for me... I was supposed to take this course over an entire year, but some paper stuff got messed up when I was applying so I couldn't get into it. than I had half a year with very little to do, and now I'm taking this course that was supposed to be spread over the entire year on only half a year. I even had a very weak fondation in maths.. UGh I'm atleast starting to understand the mindset of these subjects better... Even though I suck at this there is something very satisying about doing these kinds of things, which is why I might concider retrying... even though I'll feel like this entire year has been a wasteXD

Even if I'll do as good as I do now once I'm out of college- I will not find work, 'cause there is no work
in my country. For anybody, not just illustrator.
I'm so gonna move to Canada... It's less hot there...
I hate math... Much like the rest of the people in my school, including the engineers
(yeah my design school is actually a "school for design and engineering" and while the design departments are pretty successful
the engineering department sucks- it's full of students who were too dumb to be accepted to any real engineering university...).

Canada also happens to be very cold at times.. Even with talent its tough to find a job in your industry. But things work out if you just keep at it I'm pretty certain of that
maybe I'll come to your school and study.... or maybe not XDDD (you dont make things sound appealing at all) norways a good place to be an engineer though. I live in what they call norways oil capital, so hopefully I wouldnt have to go too far to get a job
well like I said I'm not good at math, but I respect the subject, I imagine math is seriously cool for those who can really understand it, and actually apply it to things. I'd like to be like that....

To be fair: even if I would find a job here, living in my country sucks for many many reasons, so I would move to Canada just to get away from here.
Tough love X3
Hey, our government tries to make more young people study math and physics 'cause right now we're having a shortage of scientists
so much so that we have to imports scientists from different countries >_<
Probably because the majority of the population here are illiterate religious morons.

I get it. Canadas a cool place anyway.
ohreally?XD blind religion is annoying, take that from someone with a religious backround. Religion itself is allright, as long as your open for other peoples thoughts and mindsetsXD

I'm cool with the concept of religion, I'm a little less cool with the fact that people who aren't religious
are still being controlled by it because of our stupid ass government rules:
Right now it's Passover here, that means there's no bread or anything made out of wheat flour in stores for the next two weeks.
What the hell? Why can't I eat bread if I want to? That's bullshit...

ColorsAreAwesome In reply to ChibiDonDC [2016-04-28 12:09:11 +0000 UTC]
wow.. all that.. sounds really weird to me. So no bread in the stores?? that... Is just something I never could imagine happening here.
Like mainly cause here things are just getting less and less religious. my country dosn't have a state religion anymore, they stopped that not so long ago. more stores open on sundays. I don't think its a bad thing. it's good so that like more people who arn't christian can actually fit in, but sometimes I have to admit I've felt really differant for having one of those families who still goes to church on sundays.. Like my friends family who arn't religious used to make fun of it all the time... not like in a cruel way... buut after some times it does get really old. once they claimed that my religion had a differant bible than the normal one. I was like.. what the heck manXD Im not raised in some closed off society or anything

Because bread is not "kosher" in Passover during that time religious people
do the equivalent of "spring cleaning" and that includes throwing away anything that has flour in it.
But that's one thing not to have flour three weeks a year, I can begrudgingly live with that,
it's another thing not to have public transportation on Saturday ALL YEAR ROUND.
For a country that labels itself "a democracy" there sure is a lot of religious coercion here...
We're the only "democracy" in the world that doesn't separate religion from government:
You are actually not allowed to have a non religious wedding here so atheist people are forced to travel to a different country,
marry there and then come back to Israel as a married couple or else they won't be recognized as husband and wife.
Oh, wait, I guess that's not an issue seeing how you're not even ALLOWED to be an atheist here:
I'm an atheist, but my ID still says I'm Jewish because I was born to Jewish parents (who are also atheists in their beliefs -_-)
as if Judaism is some sort of a genetic disease that you just have to live with and pass it along to your children
because no one EVER converted to something else, right?

wow, that's tough, I guess I can understand why you get a distaste for religion. For me.. I mean, I might upset my family but I could in theory leave anytime I wanted. athiest jew sounds like an intresting thingXD but what can you do if people force you to be religious.

I go into their "kosher" store with bread crumbs I kept from a few weeks ago and I scattered them on their floor.
That'll show them!
(I actually did that. Didn't accomplish much but it was pretty funny X3)
