Very interesting picture, you sure captured the cuteness of the chocobo well. The bright colors were eye-catching The shading was not bad, either.
You do, on the other hand, need to work on your chibi-anatomy. (yes, chibi's have anatomy) The neck is very thick, which looks bad on chibi. Most chibi either excludes a neck entirely, or it is pencil-thin. And the chibi-head...isn't. The head you drew would be better placed on a full sized figure rather than on chibi. Most good chibi has no nose, eyes a little bigger than the ones you drew and placed a little lower on the face, and the head itself needs to be a little fatter.
I believe you should start trying to draw a full figure, . Try and remember that the chibi head needs to be simplified as well, the face should be a bulbous, rounded shape with giant eyes and almost/no nose.
