It's been a while since I've posted another game! Here's a game I made for a contest for Digimon and Pokemon! Since I'm a pretty big fan of both, I thought it'd be fun to make a little game with it! As always, you can adjust quality settings in the right click menu!EDIT 2/8/15 v1.1:
Made it so that you cannot get two of the same element at a time!
Also you cannot get the same team two times in a row!
Additionally, spaced out elements some more so hopefully less overlapping elements now!

I think new updates wipe preexisting data, so sorry if you lose your old high scores! Hopefully you have them memorized, or you can set new highscores! I've kept track of everyone's scores so far, so the high score list is up-to-date! GAMEPLAY:
Form a Digimon and Pokemon team and collect elements! Hit the left or right arrow to jump(Left key = left character jumps)! Collect same color orbs to rack up a combo and score!
Collecting different color orbs will reduce your combo to 0 and make you lose points and health!
Randomly, your current team will SWAP and the characters will change into a different combination and Pokemon/Digimon!
Game is Over when Time runs out or you run out of health!
There are two modes: NORMAL and EXTREME, pretty self-explanatory! Comment with records so I know what you guys get!

The game is very simple, yet fun to play! My only complaint is a little laggy controlls - there is a very short but still noticeable delay when you press the button. One time two elements were overlapping, so it was impossible to get one and not get hurt by the other.

No, that cannot be the case. Sometimes it feels OK and some other as if there was one frame delay.
Apart from that accuracy doesn't drop when you miss targets. I mean, in case you don't collect any elements at all you still have 100%, which is simply not right

That maybe right. But accuracy is a different case. Bcuz that's when the 'combo' works. Accuracy is also not about getting all the target, but to get the target right. Just like in shooting game, you dont have to kill all the enemy to get 100% accuracy right?

The only thing that felt bad for me were very sudden changes of "teams" - it kinda seem too sudden for me, but it's very minor thing, the whole game is enjoyable! <3

The team swapping is a little bit sudden, but I think it adds a little to the unpredictable nature of the game!

maybe variants of background needs to be added to light the game a little bit : )

What a great game! Nice graphics -- I LOVE your art style -- and a really smooth gameplay, not many bugs at all. Good choice of background music, too. It's a little addictive! I'm going to keep trying to beat my 2280 highscore tomorrow (:

Well, I have played it! I got a record of 5750 in Normal and 2815 in Extreme
I gotta say, Im actually quite impressed with this game! it feels like it has a hint of Guitar Hero gameplay but with a single pathway that contains all of the "notes" to play, plus a little challenge in the changing "colors" that would the Pokemon and Digimon chosen!
on that regard I think its very clever that you decided a game with both Pokemon AND Digimon! I liked that idea!
that game plays fine and is also nice to look at, graphics are good, the mechanism for playing is indeed interesting, and the way you've drawn all 6 creatures is pretty cute
I think I found a few issues with it, though they are not gamebreaking bugs or anything:
-When you have two creatures of the same type (like say, agumon and charmander) the game feels... kinda dull. Its like a big part of the challenge is removed since you can catch that type's circle with any of them; its good to take a break in between the madness of handling two different types tho, so there's that!
-a minor issue is that since the circles come from the right side of the screen, it can bring some problems, like accidentally making the Pokemon catch two circles in one jump (and usually they're from different types) or making it too hard to catch in time the incoming circles of the Pokemon's type. (I consider this minor because Im a bit sucky, even though I enjoyed the game xD)
so yeah, I think that's all there is to say about it. its a really interesting concept and you pulled it off very well, and making it a Pokemon+Digimon game made it even better

I updated the game just now! The new version doesn't allow swaps to contain the same element character! And prevents you from getting the same team twice in a row
