Bio: Imelda grew up in the barrio with her younger brother, Ramón. Imelda’s father worked security for a research facility where he spent most of the year, and her mother had left the family for a richer man long ago, so the siblings mostly fended for themselves at home. Though support checks came from their father’s employer, the Alvarez family didn’t have much money to spare so the kids grew up tough, resourceful, and quickly. Being the elder of the siblings, Imelda took on the role of surrogate mother to her brother and took charge of the finances.

One day, news came back to the siblings that their father had been killed by an intruder at the facility and one last compensation check. Ramón stormed off on a half-cocked quest of vengeance, a sentiment Imelda felt herself but was rational enough to realize just how grueling the task will be. She joined her brother on the quest to keep watch over him and look for new places to live once they are done.

On their journey, they encountered Shiro and Yue, two dragons coincidentally searching for the same culprit they were. There, Shiro gave Imelda and Ramón the nicknames “Rin” and “Shu” because she had trouble pronouncing their actual names. Imelda, having a soft spot for the little dragon, quickly took to her new name while her brother resists it even to the modern day.

Years have passed and the four have now become like a family with Shiro as the baby sister, Shu being the problem brother, Rin as the eldest sibling, and Yue serving as the maternal figure to them all. Still, even in their new happiness, none have forgotten their reasons for banding together. One day, they finally encounter the man that had ruined all their previous lives. The man was designated “Subject #338 - Kota Roan.”

Fun Facts:

- Rin was a character I made on-the-spot for a roleplay with a friend. I originally wanted to go for an east-asian influence for her and Shu, but as the RP went on, they slowly turned more latino.

- “Rin” being her nickname is a placeholder from when the character was asian.

- Rin spends her little free time making accessories and alterations to the others’ outfits, with or without their permission. In particular, she likes dressing up little Shiro.

- She is an excellent dancer but horrible singer.

- Hooped earrings are her favorite accessories.
