Description
PROJECT: Make one drawing, sketch, study, or artwork per week
SUBJECT: That shot of Elsa Bloodstone from Werewolf By Night (2022) that I was instantly in love with (so classic 1930s horror film). The comic book cover text is based on actual vintage comic book.
MEDIA: Rebelle 3 (for drawing/inking) and GIMP (to add in the layers of Ben Day elements and the noise/grain for vintage effect) on Microsoft Surface Pro (apparently, if I actually paid for Photoshop or such, you could get brushes that just do this stuff?! instead of spending hours piecing together vector layers and overlays and trimming them to size and manipulating overlays and applying masks GIMP does have a 'Newspaper' filter to turn into halftones/dots but I wanted a variety of Ben Day screen effects, such as lines and cross hatching, for more authentic feel.)
