Yay!  Thank you so much!  I'm so glad you like!  They took me FOREVER to design.  I mean with the other characters I had personalities in mind and their species kind of fell into place.  But with these guys all I knew is I needed engineers and for the longest time had no ideas for character OR species.  After about a million doodles I came up with these guys.

I was trying for as alien as I could get.  Flyspur and Nana both have human-like features and I really wanted some characters that were as far from human as possible.  

Hee hee.  You could always raid a nursery.  But you can make enemies that way.

I would LOVE to see some of those brainstorming doodles.

Yeah, while it's nice to have humanoid species, it's also nice to have more offbeat/variation species. I think you did a good job with these engineers-- they're still mammalian and cute, but have enough differences from us humans to be noteworthy of their alien status.

As for raiding a nursery...you're right that doesn't sound like the best of ideas...hmm.......maybe I could just volunteer at said nursery, get my fill of snuggling and petting the adorably little babies that way!
