Description
An application for pmd-explorers.deviantart.com/Introdicuing Team Quickwork.
Sundance is a fiesty young Sneasel who was once a part of the Slasher gang. He is a naturally skilled thief, but is obsessive and easily bothered by small things. He greatly idolises leader figures such as Devonshire and Gunpowder, and will do anything to obtain the approval of his peers. He's good friends with his teammate Rowanhardt, even though there's a huge age gap between the two. He hates being asked personal questions and trusts very few with his answers. He likes to think of himself as being mature and capable enough to handle anything, although still a boy. One thing he constantly bemoans is a stubborn aversion to females that he can't seem to grow out of, and he does everything in his power to hide it. This results in him being extremily awkward at times, and Rowanhardt often has to step in and rescue him. His unusual name is tied to his birth - he was born on the first day of spring, with not a fleck of snow in sight, and a majority of sneasel prefer cold climates. Though the late hatching could have caused many problems for a temperature-sensitive baby Sneasel, warm temperatures never seemed to bother him much.
Rowanhardt is much more mature and wise than he might appear. In his middle years, he's been places and done things, most of them illicit one way or another. He lost his eye after being tortured by an enemy on his travels, and is always wary of things approaching from the left. He is extremily calculating and manipulative, and usually gets his way by charming other Pokemon with sweet words and confusing passes. Though he has all the properties of a merchant, he refuses to work with the Merchant Guild, seeming to have some personal vendetta against them, and prefers the thrill of being a rogue. For this reason he always prioritises missions which require him to go and aquire items, a field at which he and Sundance excell. He does as much business on the side as Devonshire allows him without sapping profit from the guild, and the satisfaction of selling a freshly pilfered items is all the payment he usually needs. For all his faults, Rowanhardt is never physically cruel and dislikes violence in general. He prefers to solve problems peacefully and shows a genuine concern for the safety of the younger rogues. He encourages Sundance to view him as a father figure, but is often denied because he's 'much too short.' Regardles, He does all he can to keep Sundance out of trouble, and plays the role of a mentor often.
After completing a set of tasks over at the dusty ghost town of Gambitville, Rowanhart was givin the chance to recruit and reform a criminal from the Gambitville jail. A series of events lead to the aquisition of the outlaw arsonist known as Black Dart. While Rowanhardt was intially wary and worried about Sundance's safety, he also saw an opportunity to use Dart to help pay off his debts by placing the Quilava himself in debt as payment for his freedom. Dart himself is a native of Gambitville, having lived alone since a fairly young age. As a result of overproductive fire glands and an unstable temper, he'd been involved in several severe accidents which forced him into a life on the run from the law. Though he seems like a fierce, unapproachable person at first, Dart appears to be serious about improving himself and regrets many of his past actions, going as far as to give up the prized Aggron jacket artifact he'd previously owned. He has a history with Team Soakout's Cassidy, and prefers to avoid contact with him. Dart is a skillful fighter, having a diverse and versatile moveset based on survival. He can utilise Extrasensory to map out his surroundings, close distances quickly with Wild Charge, or escape from confrontations by utilising Smokescreen. He's learned to project his flame attacks from his fingertips, which gives his Lava plume a narrow but extremily accurate spread as opposed to firing from the mouth. When it comes to social situations, he's very guarded and awkward and is still adjusting to life as a free Pokemon, and as such he has difficulty trusting others. He seems to be incredibly protective of the foreign Quilava known as Hin, but claims he's simply a 'friend' when questioned.

Thank you very much. I'm constantly learning new things and revising it as I go, so hopefully it'll be even more complete in time.

Wow! This looks amazing I can't wait to see these two in action. Um... Do you have any tips for drawing blind Pokemon's eyes?

Haha, that's an interesting question. Well, there's a few ways to do blind eyes. Usually you want to try to go for a milky texture, a bit like a pearl or hard boiled egg. I start with an off-gray base and then add the highlights (using pure white, then reflection as necessary). And finally, dead eyes are still shiny so you can add your dots on the gray bits to simulate light.
Alternatively, you can do a more tame dead eye by drawing the iris and simply removing the pupil to give the eye a 'hazy' look. Or you can make the iris completely gray and blur the edges.
Actually it's almost like drawing Devonshire's eyes now that I think about it.

Thanks for explaining This makes a lot of sense. Now hopefully when I do Yuki next time, she won't appear like a zombie

If you want a blind character who doesn't look scary, then go for the 'misty irises' approach. Keep the eye colour, but dull it and remove detail from the iris to get a cloudy look.
