Description
This is a sketch from my notebook that started as a 'what if' but evolved into a full fledged exercise. Not sure about the detailing, but I'm most proud of the 'S' and the way the cape flows off from the sides. I think it's important Superman has a 'everyman' feel to him and a simplicity. No gloves, off-the-shoulders style cape. I'll probably be exploring this further in a series of drawings, along with some redesigns of other JLA characters.Pencil, Wacom Bamboo, Corel Painter
