Description
My submission to the "I Challenge You" er, challenge... thing. My task was "to photograph a forest scene in such a way that the trees appear taller and larger than life", assigned to me by JenFruzz .I'm not sure I quite met the "forest scene" part of that task, but I hope I at least sort of managed the "larger than life" bit. The first time I pulled off a stereoscopic image it was entirely by accident (burst shots from a moving vehicle can actually get some surprisingly good stuff sometimes), and since then I've been playing around with doing it on purpose.
I still need practice with it.
Lots and lots of practice, just with photography in general. Especially now that I've got a Canon 6D, which is a hell of an upgrade from my little Sony Cyber-shot point-and-shoot, and I'm currently busily clawing my way up the learning curve, mostly through the tried-and-true method of "I wonder what happens when I do *this*."
So yes, stereoscopic image, like those Magic Eye patterns, but much easier to figure out. Cross your eyes to get the 3D effect.

People who can't/don't want to see it 3D can either cover half their screen or look at a single image here →
