Description
The dungeon on the 44th floor was particularly troublesome. No players had yet died there but it had an obstacle that made it particularly difficult to clear. The main enemies in that dungeon were cockatrice-themed. They weren't that strong and usually were defeated with one hit when spotted. However, they were difficult to detect and frequently caught players unaware inflicting them with a petrification status. At that point, the player would be stuck there until someone else came along and applied a status-curing item.

Asuna fell victim to the twisted birds' stealthy attack, finding herself turned to stone before she could even unsheathe her sword. Unfortunately for her, the guild that found her was not so altruistic, deciding instead that she would make a great decoration for their base.
