Description Ceratosaurus, or "horned lizard", was a mid-sized theropod from the Kimmeridgian to the Tithonian of the Late Jurassic period, about 153 to 148 million years ago.  It gets its name for the horns on its skull.  It could grow around 5.5 to 7 meters (18 to 23 feet) in length and weighed up to a ton.  Ceratosaurus was not the apex predator of its environment as theropods like Allosaurus, Torvosaurus, and Saurophaganax were larger and could've preyed on Ceratosaurus if given the opportunity.  This theropod was discovered in the Morrison Formation of the United States (mainly Colorado and Utah) as well as the Lourinhã Formation in Portugal.  Ceratosaurus is considered more basal than the rest of the Morrison theropods, as Ceratosaurus had four fingers on each hand as opposed to the three fingers on most other carnivores like Allosaurus and Torvosaurus.  It is also believed to possess osteoderms similar to those of a crocodile or an alligator.

Colors were based off of the Parasaurolophus from The Lost World: Jurassic Park.
