Oh my God. This is absolutely amazing. How long did this take?! even if it took years, this is well worth he time spent on it... Ha, i love the Taunting French guy's expression. XD

If memory serves this took around 20 hours of actual drawing time... it is small at 8" x 11" so not much room to cover...but alot of detail in limited space.

*SQUEALS* You even drew Tim the Enchanter and the Rabbit of Caerbannog in there! YES! The entire movie was great fun but I have a soft spot for that sequence especially. (And the wonderfully non-committal "Some call me...Tim..?" line)

That was one bloodthirsty sock-puppet.
My eyes are naturally drawn to John Cleese because you drew him so well. He's a hard guy to capture with all his unusual faces (but that's why you love him, really). Terrific job, the lighting works so well here.
The Black Beast of Aaauugh's color scheme seems a bit unnatural to me (but you have to understand, I'm a VERY big fan of the movie -- so the dull greenish/blue hues have been imbedded into my mind...well...until I wore out my VHS copy and had to buy the DVD. Funny how I never noticed how light everything looked back then) but work as far as composition goes ^_^. The Black Knight is also wonderfully done -- I love how you portrayed his armor (and his missing arms!).
Overall, wonderful work. Captured the Holy Grail in such a way β even Monty Python themselves would be proud!
The only negative thing I can say is it's a bit heavy on the left hand side (the side with Tim), for my eyes seem to settle too easily and forget the rest. This may be due to how much darker the bold color you have in the top left corner is compared to the light (almost dulled down/muted) bottom right corner. It draws your eye up and around the side there (with nothing really to pull it back around).
But again, wonderful work! You are very talented.

I could be mistaken but I don't think that is a beard, I think what you are seeing is shadows in the material folds. I saw another pic that looked like the same thing on the top portion of the sun.....Aw well it gives me an excuse to watch it again anyway....
