Hi there! Yeah I haven't been too active, life has been busy. However I am slowly realizing and perfecting my style. The main goal of this study was to understand the qualities contours and placement of light in the dimensions of a form. This was also used as a study to understand volume. See that line bisecting the torso and neck I used that to understand form.

I still have trouble understanding how light manifest as color but i'm slowly beginning to understand. Though to be fair this is an advanced project and i'm still working on perfecting my coordination and dexterity with line making but this was fun nonetheless.

As for the character, it's a warrior cat from a picrew I made up as a personification for me named Silentwing. She soars to great heights and advances greatly but only does so in solitude. Considering that usually what interest her can be difficult for others to follow she remained relaxed and poised continuously searching for answers to life. Unlike others she doesn't see seeking knowledge as a sort of masochism as for her tapping into the idea of how there is so much more to learn means there will always be something to explore. The few friends she has admire her for her perseverance, intelligence, and kindness. Silentwing has a great love for those who are close to her and consider them her world however there comes a time when Silentwing wants to continue the art of solitude and ponder about life's biggest mysteries.

Since I have difficulty with lighting or things like that i'd love some general advice if possible!! I usually work on microsoft paint so no layer using for me heha!
