Here’s my “Summer character”! XD

I took my inspiration on a constellation, as I do sometimes. X3 It’s the one of “Hydra” which is known as “The water snake” too, there’s a female and a male version (“Hydrus” ). For that I decided to make them as brother and sister but for the moment I worked a lot more on the girl chara and as she was looking like a mermaid I decided to give her a trident on the pic.
She also looks very serious… ^^’ but she isn’t always like that, most of time she acts like a timid girl.

Pickname: Mermaid (past), Rain maker, Guardian of the sacred springs (present)

Age: Unknown
Gender: Female
Specie: Water snake (or mermaid)
Origins: N/A
Family: Her brother Hydrus

Actual status: N/A
Side: Good

Personality: She’s afraid of the other people and is often hiding deep inside water places. But sometimes she takes a little risk by going outside and discovering the external world. Unfortunately she has a kind of limit, she can’t stay without to be in contact with water for more than 4 or 5 days (in these cases a bath or to be under shower represent the quantity of water she needs to survive).
Otherwise she’s a very kind and shy person but very lonely because of her choice to hide most of time. It’s very hard for her to get trust in somebody of other species.

Like: The wet and rainy places, to swim in the sea, lakes or others, to can talk to a friendly person and discover new things
Dislike: Humans because they already tried to kidnap her, dry places

Powers: Controls the water element and the water place she keeps (the place can change when she decides to travel) is saying to can heal everything, she can takes a biped appearance (but also can come on the ground by creeping like a snake), she has very sharp teeth and claws thus can use them to defend if she has no weapon
Special capacities: She can call the rain (for that she’s sometimes called “Rain maker” and protect the place where she lives from dryness).

Story:
In the old times Hydra was living in the ocean with her brother Hydrus but one day she unfortunately was chased by humans and had to go very far of her home to escape them. When she finally managed to do it, she discovered she was arrived near of the coasts of a world she had never seen before. She was very curious about it and, seeing that she couldn’t come back home for a while because humans still were searching for her, she decided to go and visit the earthly world. She accustomed herself to her new condition and learns to use rivers, lakes, and other kind of water paths, to travel around the world. Of course she did it very carefully and tried to not be seen, but very rare times she all the same was observed by mortals, fortunately without bad consequences.
She also got a reputation of “sacred springs guardian”, because her magic gives healing capacities to the water.
She promised herself than when she would have learn enough from the earthly world she would come back in the ocean and join her family again.
