"Farewell, Colors of the Wind"
"Have you ever heard the wolf cry
to the blue corn moon
or asked the grinning bobcat
why he grinned?
Can you sing with all
the voices of the mountain?
Can you paint with all
the colors of the wind...
Can you paint with all
the colors of the wind?"
This artwork was made inspired by the emotional Disney classic, "Pocahontas". The last scene, also for unforgettable Alan Menken music, with the track "Farewell", is emotional as ever and shows the ship, with John Smith on it, going away from Pocahontas that on a drop watches his love moving away to England. The scene on the top is instead the kiss before Kokoum gelosy attack, made with the technic of new age arts, the same during the song, icon of the movie, "Colours of the Wind" when Pocahontas sings "Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?" becoming a wonderul mix of colors fightin' within.

I think that kindness is the most important thing of being, well, just a human as all the others. Receiving kind words as yours only could receive thanks for exhange, it's the smallest (and smarter) thing to do in a case as this. My english is awful and surely weaker than yours eeheheheheh, do not worry, yours is great
BTW I'm so proud that u liked all my works, a truly honour that people from another part of the world appreciate my works, and I'm from Italy. Thank you, thank you a lot, really, and I hope you will appreciate also my next works best to you, my friend

Now, hen we both know that our English sucks we can talk without any barriers
Well if I would need to make my best DA artists ranking you would be on...2nd or 3rd place ;D But still if I would need to choose which arts I want on my wall it would be totally yours (like ,, FROZEN - Let it GO! " or ,,Cinderella - Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo" -they are just stunning, you can show all the emotions and that's the best!). Ach Italy! In May for the first time I will go abroad, for the first time and to Italy ♥ Well...with my class, but still it sounds like a dream. All these buildings and art aaaw I looove these kind of things. Can't wait to see it.
Greetings from cold and frosty (well in summer there is hot like in hell :3) Poland (^w^)

You're extremely kind, my friend. Italy is lovely, I seriously advice it to everyone, expecially from Europe and out. Thanks a lot for your nice words and I'm so glad you liked my special works about 'Frozen' and 'Cinderella', those are my experiment to try to re-create a movement without no working on animations, almost not for this time. I hope you will enjoy also my next works. Again, thank you so much and I hope I will be able to visit Poland soon too as well you will come to Italy
Cheers

I'll remain always faithful to Poca-Smith XD I totally hated the 2nd film (also if I know how the story in reality was). BTW thanks a lot for your comment about, too kind

I know, right? I hated the 2nd movie too, it absolutely ruined the whole story from the 1st movie, and its script, story and animation quality was horrible. It basically contradicted almost everything from the 1st movie, what isn't quite clever... Pocahontas 2 kind of broke my heart.

I hated too the 2nd movie. This is the same reason why I prefer try to think Disney movies as without eventual sequels or prequels etc

LoveAnimals8 In reply to Chris-Darril [2014-10-25 13:19:31 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, that's exactly how I think. I prefer SO much thinking about the Disney classics without their low-quality sequels and prequels. I think that the magic of the classics was kind of lost with the 2nd movies.

Your welcome. I can respect the fact if people prefer Pocahontas with John Smith---after all, he was her love interest in the original movie. I'm kind of stickler for historical accuracy, and that's one of the reasons I prefer the Pocahontas/John Rolfe-pairing.

At the end of the old animated storybook CD-ROM version of this movie, Grandmother Willow (the narrator) said that the peace Pocahontas brought lasted for many. While I am not sure what qualifies to Grandmother Willow as many years, it would lead me to believe that this takes place in an alternate version of American history in which the United States east of the Mississippi was unsettled by Europeans until decades after it actually was.
Thankfully, since the sequel was made in the no-effort style that plagued many a children's section of VHSes and DVDs, it can be easily overlooked.

yeah...that poor terrible sequel. I always want to remember this movie as an only movie without no events later ehehehe
it's also one of my favorites.

I think is one of the most underrated movies ever, only 'cause it changed a lot a real american story. Anyway, yes, I'm according with you, 'Pocahontas' is probably one of the most emotional animated movies ever made...and that music! Just perfect! Anyway, thank you very, very much for your comment
