"it's a bad time to travel north. it's breeding season".ΒWild boars were the worst she could think of at the time, well aware that even they would have been a threat... but this?!Β
"Farah! Come back!" she jolted forward to protect her dog from the fastly approaching dragon. The widely opened mouth of the dragon filling up her view, now seeming only a few feet away. She cries out, her arms holding the staff shaking in fear as everything around her fades to bright light..

I like how this one ends in death. Not even a glamorous death or anything, not beyond getting killed by a fire breathing giant lizard monsters. It's just someone who fucked up on their way north. I'd say that firmly sets this drawing on the realm of reality, and I respect that.

Great composition with the tilted horizon and the bird eye view; gives the dragon such an imposing presence 
(Though I gotta say the dragon mum has a poor sense for location when it comes to her nest. Not the best place to be having her eggs lying around!)

That do remind me alot of my travels with my dogs ;_; sometimes they are able to get us in really unpleasent situations in their intent to defend us 
At least we never travel during breeding season XD my dogs would get me into the light too
