The texture onΒ that strange creature is amazing.Β It looks as though these parts were painted with a real paint and given lines with something sharp.Β I'm extremely curious about how this was done.Β Interesting technique!!

Thank you very much. This is done by creating a layer with all the skin on it, and then using the bevel and emboss layer-setting to scratch in his scars, by deleting out parts of the skin.

I usually never fave DD's, but you my friend, have amazed me with this.
The lighting effect was very well executed; the lower source of it causing that classic "haunting glow." And the creature you designed could pertain to either that of an alien or demon category, but either way, it's truly magnificent.
Finally, the attention to detail is quite brilliant. The little scars engrained onto the beast, to the small shining metal shards embedded into the man suffering. Overall, a clever concept and intriguing piece!
