Description ok, here we have Sarah Palin in a bikini.

I hope she, I mean, McCain wins. I know that 90% of the devaints on her are full blown zombie liberal just doing the usual anti-conservative whatever and I'm sure they are portraying her as a skank or something. Just something different. I can't believe that people were thinking McCain would choose Liberman as his running mate.

Did everyone forget Liberman tried to censor videogames? I guess so.

Anyways, I like Palin, she can skin a moose after she shot it. I'm sure I'll get flamed and stuff by some of the locals for this, but who cares... She's hot.

When I was drawing this, the last picture in my sketch book,(now i need a new one) someone (a cosplayer, I'll explain later) was all, "Why are you drawing her?" With an attitude.

"Because she's hot!" then they asked. "Are you going to vote for her?"

"Of course." I replied.

To think of it, me voting for McCain just because Palin is hot is just as ridiculious as someone else voting for Obama because he's black.

At least I don't feel guilty about it.

*update* my latest Palin drawing here:

Wow, I'd say that's about accurate
The picture, the politics are rather silly, quite frankly.
I'd like my president, or VP for that matter, to be able to do more than look hot, shoot, and skin a moose.
Maybe that's just me.
I'm quite glad Obama got the candidacy.
Great pic, though.
Love the tits.

Yes, pass out the socialism! personal freedom and choice was overrated anyways. I did like how no convservatives rioted. And yet when Prop 8 passed people took to the streets and turned over cars. If the neo-cons can except democracy, then why not everyone else?

Not true. The NY Times, Chicago Tribune, BBC and other papers reported in the days after the election of Obama campaign HQs being stoned, and in the south blacks being threatened by roving punks. In Florida there were a few arrests. It's not a one way street.

Black is a demographic. Hot is not. There's a lot more meaning to being black than being hot: I hope your vote goes deeper than that. Voting for someone JUST because they're black is stupid, yes, but it has more potential for nuances than being hot ever will. Hot women have been rooted for across time. Minority demographics have had to scratch their way through even when they're granted a voice. When the evidence is on your skin, the fighting can be uglier. When the demographic has had a strong group of haters, more so. So it is NOT the same. And either way it's not smart. Look more and look deeper and don't take things at (literally) face value. That's crap. Just because you don't feel guilty doesn't mean it isn't a crap-stance.

Nonetheless, an amusing picture: but I think that her face is too "nice". The face of heroism needs more fight in it, or she just looks like the star (or even an extra) in some (perhaps hot) porn.

Ok,
So, you're saying basically black people have/ have had it tough for a long time? And that the plight of black people is more important then the plight of anyone else. Ok, that's fine and all, but I live in TODAY, not a hundred years ago.

If you're too hot, too fat, too ugly, too stupid, even too black you might face some prejudice out there. Get over it. (Of course once I've said that I expect you to come back with some whiny history lesson that involves lynching) Live in today. Today a person's skin color doesn't mean anything. If you fail in life it's because you didn't try hard enough or you just suck. I know people like Jesse Jackson make a living off of racial unbalance which is maybe a deeper reason why Jesse wanted to "cut off his (Obama's) nuts." History is important but whining about it as a reason for failure is just stupid.

Obama, Oprah, Halle Barry (the ultimate hottie) are all proof that skin color doesn't matter today and it takes all the flame out of your arguement. If I said people were voting for Obama just because Hollywood loves him, that would be just as stupid as voting for him because he is black. I'm just tired of people being handed their opinions instead of making them, themselves.

Cry me a river, then build a bridge and get over it. Skin color doesn't matter, you want to cry, go ahead. Because while you're crying someone who isn't going to let skin color (or anything else) stand in their way is going to step over you and show you how it's done. But I am glad you brought this up, it just shows how narrow minded and arrogent some people can be.

Which is why the pic was done in the first place.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LyraCaryl In reply to ChrisHolm [2008-11-09 02:37:47 +0000 UTC]

Prejudice? Pah. That's not the central issue at all. Symbolic, a symptom, a kind of litmus test, but not central. And where the heck did I say that their plight matters than anyone else's? Just because it matters doesn't mean that other people's problems don't.

You're right in thinking that basic prejudice doesn't matter so much. People are going to be jerks about stupid things and having a hissy fit doesn't do anything about it.

Race matters less than it did yesterday than it did the day before yesterday – that's history for you. Obama, Oprah, Halle Barry, etc. are examples of our success as a country in overcoming prejudice of the past and the damage it has done. Unfortunately, their stories are not a universal trend. The majority of blacks live in communities which are more black than white. This is NOT because blacks just feel like living with other blacks, or even because whites are prejudice: (most) whites just have a history of being richer, because their families were in a position where they could get wealth. So they can move to where they want, which are usually nice and pretty communities, and they can keep paying the rent when, as more people with money move in, that money gets pumped into making the community prettier, nicer, with better schools that attract more teachers, so they can get the pick of the litter.

Not too long ago, blacks weren't in a position to get wealth. Remember that it's been less than half a century – 43 years – since they were given the right to vote. Half a century. Considering the lifespan of an average human being this is not a long time ago at all: it is very easy to forget that. If your grandma or pa was poor because they couldn't get a job, unless that job paid crap, s/he couldn't give as many resources to his/her children, and that often means less resources for their children's children. Means they can't afford the best house in the best neighborhood with best schools, that they get pushed out if the rent gets too high, means that they have less campaigning power if they want to redefine their district so that some richer people's tax dollars can help patch up their neighborhood.

It is possible to break out of that sort of situation, but it isn't easy: you can attribute it to laziness if you like, but keep in mind that someone who is better off to start with can be lazy and not be affected by that. Oprah is one example of someone who started out at the poverty level and made a name for herself, and others' lives are examples of rising above a crud situation. And if you look at those who do and did get out, and those who don't and didn't, you'll notice that those who did had someone or something to tell them to keep fighting and believe in them along the way. That sticks, even if someone else comes along the way didn't. For most people, regardless of race, who are born into crud situations, that's what matters. No matter who they get it from, be it their families, a book, the bible, a teacher, a pastor, a preacher, or their entire community, it can mean all the world and more.

I form my opinions based on the people in my community and the books I read. I learn more about today, which sometimes means learning how today was caused by yesterday, and what that means for tomorrow. I don't run into racism that often because of where I live and because I'm surrounded by folk who wouldn't dream of calling someone the n-bomb. But I do run into the problems of race. When I look at today, I see a school I tutor at, where most of the kids are black, and black and white alike come from families close to or below the poverty line. Their teachers believe in them, and people across the board have pumped money in to make their school beautiful and the education sound – but where their own parents do not value learning, or are too busy with several jobs to pay much heed to their kids, the kids have a disadvantage. If a child's parents read to them, play with them, stimulate them, feed them, then they come into school ready to learn and a coach back home to cheer them on. Not everyone has that. Some of those kids come in to school hungry because there wasn't much food at home – and you try learning basic math or spelling when your stomach is yowling. Many of those kids are three grades behind their peers when it comes to a lot of basic knowledge – this doesn't mean they're not smart or that they're incapable of learning. But if you're told that you're stupid and that nothing you do counts, or that the reason why you're so behind is because you're lazy, instead of because you've come from crap schools with no money and a family with no time to do more than look at you, you just might believe that you are stupid and lazy. One voice telling you otherwise when you've heard that all your life might not be enough. This is true regardless of race.

Race has a grasp on today – you might not see that in your community. It might not be a big issue there. I see it in mine, and it is an issue, tucked under issues not restricted to race. I don't need to cry a river because I see that the river is already there, and whining doesn't help anyone. But I gladly fortify and expand the bridge so that more can cross it. That we can elect a black man to the highest office in the U.S. is evidence that yes, we can get beyond the grasp race has – and heck, we've come a pretty long way. There are people across America for whom this means so much – and people across the world for whom it means just as much.

But really, let's get back to this fine piece of gunslinging hot shot young, fertile woman with the glorious mammary glans here. After all, a woman should be taught that she can be strong, sexy, and the president if she wants to. She might not be the president now but we still have a sexy first lady who will mess you up if she wants to – hey, either way a hot strong woman in the White House, eh?

Blah blah blah. I hear ya. But still, the individual decides whether or not they remain ordinary, or become extrodinary. In the end it's up to you.

So make every effort a postive one, if you choose too.

Also, really: I do agree that voting for Obama JUST because it has symbolic meaning/is important evidence of racial progress/yadda is stupid. One-issue voting is stupid. Voting based on someone's vagina/penis, alone, is stupid. But black is not meaningless by any measure. Neither is hot, but they're not quite the same

Post a link for me, please.
Most people on here have made their minds (or make that their minds have been made for them) long before they came across my stuff. It's not simply an opinion, but almost a religion. Just look at the Global Warming non-sense. Sure we can all live cleaner and cheaper, but I want to be the one to make that choice.

I'm just down with the personal freedoms. Once the government tells me what to do or worse yet, what I can listen too (Fairness doctrine). If the wealth is to be shared, it should be by choice. Charities help a lot of people anyways. But with these libs, no matter how much you give it's never enough. But they can say that since it's not coming out of their pockets.

Obama bin Lyin' [link]

Global "Climate Change" you mean. I think the 'warming' part of their title broke in the last five years, and we even froze our @$$es off on 4th of July. Cleaner? arguably (CO2 isn't pollution), but don't fool yourself that alternative energies will ever be cheaper. Both these fools on the ticket believe in Global Climate lies, and even Obama has stated in an ABC interview (released this weekend) that energy costs will skyrocket [link] due the the much needed emission standards to be imposed. That will bankrupt all of us.

He's pandering to the greed within our country, which is pure genius. This is the first election I've ever seen a man bribe "95% of you" with the promise of free money and never be taken to task in the mainstream press. Losing liberties is the thing that scares me most too.
