Description I was required to make a platform game for a University project, and this is what i came up with. I want to point out that before i embarked on making this; my knowledge of coding in flash was limited to just making buttons (yep, 'The Nightmare' is made of nothing but buttons. I'm super serial..).

Capn Banjaxed is (or is supposed to be) a story about a Pirate who is shipwrecked on an island after being tied to the helm of his ship by his mutinous crew. He finds himself on an island which he realizes is inhabited with treasure (as well as the ghosts of past treasure-hungry pirates). He decides that he will stubbornly attempt to acquire all the booty on the island before attempting to fix his ship.

I have worked on this bloody thing painstakingly for the 4 months, and honestly, i am unsure how i feel about the outcome. There is so so SO much more i wanted to do with this, but i simply didn't have the time before my deadline was due. Sadly, I won't be able to work on this any further after the aforementioned deadline, as the rest of my uni projects are leaving me virtually no time to do ANYTHING else.. Perhaps over the summer i will make 'Capn Banjaxed 2' with a less crappy engine and sprites that aren't laughably bad..

Also, I just want to say that i have found a new appreciation for all of you Pixel folks.. - I had no idea how much time and effort goes into making the simplest of pixel imagery. Some of you guys have got crazy-talent. Here's to the Pixel Artists!
Oh, and i also want to thank Zubaja for copious amounts of assistance with my coding. Dude is a legend

Edit: Version 2.0 - After much feedback (thank you!) it was obvious that the first two enemies were extremely difficult to avoid, and as a result; people were giving-up very early on in the game. So I've decided to remove them so that you can get a little further before giving up (Pfft, Ye call Ye-self Pirates?!). I have also significantly decreased the size of the hit-boxes around the enemies, so there is a little more jumping room. I just want to point out that the game is designed to be difficult, you need to time your double-jumps meticulously in order to avoid the ghosts, y'dig?
Finally, thanks for all the bitchin' feedback, i couldn't improve if it wasn't for you gnarly folk
