Description
I decided to draw the shocker. One of my pet-peeves with redesigning characters is when people do weird stuff like make the legs completely black or make them more bland in a lazy attempt to be realistic when the original actually could be done in a life-like way. For this design, I chose to go with the story that Herman is not a major player in the marvel universe. He's a petty criminal who knows he's a petty criminal, stealing enough to justify the effort but not enough/ not killing anyone so as to not attract the attention of THE PUNISHER. As a result, He stole the yellow padded material he use for his costume and assembled the shock gauntlets himself. I made the brown sections of his design just cheap clothing so as to fit with the DIY nature of his character. These consisting of; Black Balaclava, old brown leather jacket, brown corduroy trousers and Brown boots. The yellow sections are the aforementioned material he stole to protect himself from any residual electricity, heat and shockwaves from his gauntlets. They have been stitched onto the front of the chest, the forearms, the inside of the thighs so as to resemble the original design, the knees and the mask. He stitched them on himself which is why they are mismatched and patchy. The gauntlets in their normal form are just giant Tasers/ electric stun guns attached to arm braces( the batteries/ power supplies being located on his belt). He has additional shockwave generators that can be attached on. They wouldn't have to be very powerful as they only need to be able to knock people over and force open doors so there not very big. I kind of like The Shocker so I'm glad I got to draw him. If you like this one or have any requests, just leave them below.
