It’s been a long week, and I am glad it’s almost over… I have been jamming out to odd musical groups like Steam Powered Giraffe on a random whelm (for the uninitiated Steam Powered Giraffe reminds me a lot of barbershop quartet meets the Steam Punk genre), and their videos have a lot of gray face paint and robotic effects that remind me a lot of chalk meets impressionist colorism.

Since I have been playing around with elf’s lately (I will likely migrate away from this theme shortly) I decided I would try my hand at chalk meets impressionist colorism and see what I could create within Midjourney.

My workflow lately has been starting with creating a background style, in this case a general chalk type portrait, and then leveraging the power of the new --sref command on an existing prompt to shift the style towards the direction I want to head. After that I apply in-painting where needed and some zooming.
