Oh yeah sorry for no explanation. So DeviantArt has announced that by the end of May the site will be changed drastically and force all their users to switch over the Eclipse version of this site. Many don't like the Eclipse because it's hard to navigate through and the style isn't very pleasing. Even though we can turn it off DA will remove that option and make everyone use Eclipse.

Really? I've been using it off and on again and there isn't that big of an issue. The format is different, there are some bugs but those can be worked out, you're even aloud to do things you couldn't do on the original site without getting a core membership, and now there's 3 settings (Night Mode, Day Mode, and my personal fave Classic Mode where it combines DA's current colors with the Eclipse lay out)
I don't see how this is such a DRASTIC change when it's just a new format of the same site. YouTube does WAY worse updates and changes than what DA is doing.

YouTube itself has a whole array of problems. However; lot of people are just comfortable with the site being the way it is and to have many people switch over to Eclipse is just so sudden. Many prefer Eclipse to just be left an option not be the main priority style. If it works for you, then good on ya, but for many of us it should just be left as a choice.

Well my friend just found out the category for submitting it as a DA suggestion is no longer and option. 

DA and many sites have control over what the users say or do. The fact that they want to shove this down our throats is bad on their part. It's like YouTube Premium. It's an option, but YouTube and any point can decide to make it mandatory to everyone if they want to use the site. People would be outraged. This is basically the same thing.

Yeah but this is just a format change with some new toys. There are so many ways to get around the complaints like favoriting your own art (use the app because that allows it) and just learning how to use it. No one said anyone had to like it but acting like the world is on fire, making petitions because of a change that isn't that big of deal, and treating this like it just ended your life is not the way to handle it. And the YouTube premium thing is more accurate with Core, not Eclipse. But you're only forced to use it if you want perks. No adds? Get premium. Want access to higher stuff, get core. Eclipse is neither of those.

Well we can't really change the minds of people. If they don't want this change then they should have the a right to tell DA to stop this from being the norm. To say we should just be submissive to it is not a very good message.

That’s not what I’m saying. You have every right to say what’s wrong and have your voice heard. But the way people are going about expressing their issues is not doing anyone favors. It’s scaring people who either have no issues or don’t care.

I suppose that's true. How people react is something that can't be control. Some don't care, some feel it's wrong and tried to have their voice be heard, and others are just radicals. All we can do is just wait it out and see what happens.

What I'm doing is getting to the core issue of this hysteria and trying to help get people to calm down. I use Eclipse and have been answering any question I can so people are less crazy and more sensible
