Description
This is my first time ever using Paint Tool Sai and this is the outcome. I think I did very well for my first time using a digital art program and I learnt quite a bit whilst doing this project. Since it was my first time, I decided to practice by colouring an already submitted pencil drawing. It started out quite basic with boring colours and then I did the nice shading and highlights. I was originally going to do a plain colour background, but it looked too boring. Then I experimented a bit and eventually did the snow background, which I think is okay, but not too great.I also had this urge to add in snowflakes as she is featured in a cold climate, and I think I went quite well. The hot breath and cold on cheeks were added as finishing touches. Oh, and my first time doing my deviant name signature.
I'm getting to enjoy using Paint Tool Sai, but I am quite sick of looking at this picture now...
Anyway, my next Paint Tool Sai project is probably going to be my part of an art trade with
Character (c) Me!
EDIT: She now has a name, suggested by .
Her name is... Lyndis!

Hmm, Lyn is actually quite a good choice! There is this awesome video game character with the name Lyndis (shortened to Lyn). [link]
She is from this game called Fire Emblem on the Game Boy Advance. So I could name my character after Lyndis. And perhaps I will. I just need to think about it a little...

This is epic! It seems like Sai is really easy to use! I'm going to stick with Elements, though
Nice job!

Thanks, Rin!
I think I'm getting the hang of Sai now. This artwork was only supposed to start as a practice to learn how to use Sai, but turned into a full blown project!
I am so happy that it is finally finished though. Means I can get onto doing some more artworks that I haven't previously done (Remember this one was already posted as a pencil sketch). I would start doing the art trade for you, but I might have to do some other stuff first though. Hang in there, I WILL eventually do my side of the trade!
Remember, I promised!

I don't care when you get around to it. As long as you eventually do it!
Oh, I'm thinking of starting my own pokemon comic as well...

Oh good! I will do it sometime though.
Ah, nice! I wouldn't be bothered to start a comic series because I would take too darn long just to do ONE page!! But I am right behind you (does that mean supporting?) with you doing a comic! Good luck.
If I were to do any comic related piece it wouldn't be a whole series, rather a one off situational comic. (Kinda like the one off 'Random Doom' ones). I have actually planned one involving the Pokemon Smoochum. It involves something to do with its PokeDex entry: "It tests everything by touching with its lips, which remember what it likes and dislikes." I won't tell you anymore than that though...
I'd like to hear more about your Pokemon comic aswell.

Yeah, I'd probably do shorts as well as a short story. I wouldn't do, like, a big planned story like Jenna has. Although... if I got REALLY into it... I might consider.
I was planning on just having my pokemon team and all others that I have become attatched to (like, given them nicknames and stuff). It'd sort of revolve around what I'm doing in-game at the moment. I'm trying to complete my pokedex so I'd be breeding and evolving and training and stuff...
Also, my little cottage would also be a training ground, and I'd challenge any trainer who comes across it.
Oooh, And cameos are planned

What little cottage?
And for cameos, do you mean... Cameron the Photographer!

MY little cottage. Sort of like how Jenna has her Ranch. Except mine's cuter
By cameos I mean like, other trainers I know such as you and . I'm not putting Cameron in... He... Just...CREEPS ME OUT THE LITTLE CREEPERERRRR. *Breathes in*
Do ya get my drift?

But Jenna's ranch is based on the ones out of 'My Pokemon Ranch' for the Wii. So I was asking if your cottage was based on a particular one from the Pokemon series.
When you draw me and Natsume, will you draw us like how we did ourselves in the Pokemon dress-up game? Because that would be cool.

No, my cottage is a little way off from Olivine city, you can only get to it by bushbashing... It's not based on any games.
And yes! I'd draw you as you are from the dressup game

Ahk. Is there a special reason for its placement near Olivine City, or is it that you like the location?
Good. I like that character. Although he is kind of similar to [link] except that there are a few colour changes, etc.

Well, I thought that it would be good for my water type pokemon. Although, it's on a cliff. That goes down to a secluded beach. Yeah, I have all of this planned out... (I'm such a loser ) And my pokemon like the beach, so... It's a good spot
Yeah, I remember you comparing your OC to Barry. Couldn't you be a bit more... uhh... Original? But whatever floats your floatzel...

Sounds kind of like Jenna's ranch with the cliff and beach. And no you're not a 'loser' just because you have it all planned out! I seem to like Water Pokemon quite a bit so this sounds quite interesting!
Hey! I made it on that Pokemon dress-up game and the only hairstyle I liked just happened to be quite similar to Barry's. It isn't exactly the same to Barry's hairstyle btw, it has a different fringe. If he wasn't made on that dress-up then he probably would be a bit more original.

I might make the pokemon have a secret flying fox that goes down...
Alright then. If you insist that yours is different, then I won't bug you anymore about it. (for now ) Kekekeke... I just had an idea about you and Barry meeting...

Cool! That would be pure awesomenessss! But what about Pokemon without appendages (is that arms and legs...)? Perhaps they could have a platform to take them down, or an elevator.
ahaha! Sounds funny having me and Barry meeting. But you would have to make sure to find out what his personality is. And make sure you do mine properly too. Barry is always in a rush, mine wouldn't be like that. Anyway, I will shut up now

They'd wrap themselves around the triangle and if they fell off, they'd be rescued by Serie, my Espeon (I re-named her! ).
I think it'd be too much work...

The title "Tribute to Winter" comes from the fact that Winter is almost over.
