Gorgeous. I'll be taking my first printmaking class this semester, so it's good to have a skilled artist to look up to.

wow, thats really dark fun xD i like it!
note: if you invert horizontally the canvas, the birds will fly and take the baby a lot 'easier', because of the 'felt of reading' [sorry, i really dont know if 'felt' is the right word in english xD] but then, the atention would be in the old woman, so you would need to change something in the structure of the illustration. well, its what i think, i dont know if its right ^^

This really makes me think about a Mother Goose book my grandmother gave me when I was 8 or 9 years old. She could not see it, but every drawing in that book revealed the sinister and evil side of the stories and poems, such as the Mother Goose story itself. Your art brings back memories of that book, which I have packed away in a box somewhere. The book promoted my early pieces to reveal my sinister and hidden messages of the real world- things that maybe me, as a person with the eye of an artist, could only see. And because your art reminds me so much about that book, it plays a key role in inspiration.
Thank you, I will be looking at the rest of your gallery, and I'm happy you got this DD! I might not have been able to find you otherwise!

The old woman should be the one being chased by the black rooks, yet they come after a new life. Very well done!

I like your work very much. You're sort of like Edward Gorey and Escher's bastard child raised by Alfred Hitchcock, and occaisionally baby sat by Gary Larson. That's a complment by the way

Is this intaglio? It's wonderful. I love the composition, the quality of the lines and big sections of value. A lovely, amusing dark piece.
