Joseph was like my favourite JoJo,

I feel like Battle Tendency was the moment where JoJo's Bizarre Adventure really started getting good for me. Phantom Blood was really cool, since there were so many kick ass fighting moments, and Jonathan was just so badass. It was one of those things where the coolness just comes from the main character being better than any of the villains, á la Fist of the North Star. He always beat the villains with such vigour, and was a very respectable and chivalrous. And that was pretty awesome.

Also, people always shouted everything, non stop, and it was hilarious.

But when I watched Battle Tendency, something just clicked. I loved how much of a dick Joseph was, and how much he contrasted with the seriousness. When everyone was like: Oh no, Santana is killing everyone, and we can't stop him! We're doomed!', Joseph was just always going 'Haha, I already know how to beat you!'. He always had some nutty plan up his sleeve, and I loved it.

And then Caesar was such a cool dude. I like seeing actual relationships between characters that were really different. Caesar was always gentle and suave, where Joseph was brash and rude. But they had a respect for one another, and that was pretty neat.

Lisa Lisa was a pretty cool. I liked her professionalism, aka being totally okay with her own students dying. But deep down, she really cares about them, isn't that sweet.

And the Pillarmen? OH MY GOD THEY WERE SO COOL.
I loved how unbeatable they were. I loved that Joseph couldn't beat them with sheer brute force, like Jonathan would have. Joseph had to use his clever-ness to defeat them, and HOLY MOTHER OF GOD WAS IT COOL WHEN HE CAME UP WITH PLANS!
