Could you talk more about your creation?
Did you take inspiration in any holy book description, existing game or something else entirely?
Your behemoth seems very unique and I loved the stegossaurus like plates so I'm asking out of curiosity

I used the biblical description as my main inspiration, and then embellished from there haha
mid section of tail has majority of mass to propel the barb studded end of the tail like a whip.
tongue is because I imagined these guys inhabiting near great lakes and wade through the water eating the underwater vegetation, since water vegetation multiplies at shocking rate it would be able to keep up with the enormous intake these giants require.
foot barbs are for back kicking any smaller group predators that go for the legs.

Woah, this is really cool! He looks majestic, gentle and slick at the same time. Really digging the "fin spiral" goin on the tail, but the anteater tongue takes the cake. ^^
, acho que você vai gostar. o/

Hahaha, that's a well-armed and well-thought herbivore. I designed one before, but it's just an evolutionary dead-end. Free livestock for humans, with no means to defend itself!

Can it somewhat control the barbs, by the way? I imagine whipping the tail could be pretty precise if those can function like flaps.

Do those plates protect it from a massive predator? I would like to see that too!
Nice work!

Still, awesome image.

in my mind I imagined them inhabiting near lakes and plains, wading through the water using their tongue to reach water vegetation.

Self taught.
I did take a course when I was like 13 but that didnt really do much for me.
just practiced like crazy, looked at fantasy/scifi games/movies, studied human/animal anatomy from the internet, studied great artists and keep having that hunger to reach something amazing.

You sexy artist hunk (no homo tho). Im at the point of realising that dragons aren't the only fun thing to draw so im practicing anatomy like crazy, and artists like you inspire me to practice even more! Thanks for existing I guess hehe

Aw man this thing is really cool. I really love how the plates spiral down to the underside of the tail. The really long tongue is a cool touch too, curious as to what its diet might be since it's such a large creature. It also looks elegant, despite being so large.
Great job on this!

Oooh. That's a really cool idea! Have any plans to do a full illustration of these guys in an environment?

Its awesome. I bet it would look even better if you added a background but thats just my opinion. ^^

it's a creature concept, not a full illustration, I prefer to go minimal on the BG for concepts as to not distract from the main design and silhouette.
thanks though
