Description
I figure there're probably a multitude of these here, but I thought it'd be a good idea to submit my version as well. Included are files for Cinema 4D, and exports to 3DS Max and DXF format as well as Wavefront OBJ files.original submission date: Oct 10, 2005
revised: Apr 15, 2006
[edit] I've updated the model and fixed a lot of small problems it originally had. It is now a cleaner, streamlined model with better textures.
Preview made similar to `switched 's 'deviantART Mascot Fella Source ' file to show angles.
revised again: May 09, 2006
[edit] Final changes include slightly darker skin and a much better defined logo. This is the last update!

Nice work on the model! I just posted a wallpaper featuring it. (I can remove it if you do not approve...)

cool work this model is free for anybody to use, so i would never ask you to remove it (unless it included a vulgarity i happened to disagree with!)

Nice model! I'm very glad you uploaded so many different formats, because it pisses me off when every single model is either .MAX or .C4D. Why cant at least one other fucking person use Lightwave?!?!

thanks!
lol, i know right? Lightwave is a bigtime industry tool still, lots of production companies use it. i dunno, i'm just glad C4D can export to those formats.. this way it's a bit of a more well-rounded model pack.

Yeah, I'm glad. Lightwave isn't as cross-compatible, but besides its native .lwo format, it can import/export to obj, 3ds, and dxf. I just really wish more people would upload models in one of those formats.

simple yet very effective, nicely done! and overall an great gallery! say, could we perhaps use this for an animation film project (theme is deviantArt)? or better yet, are you interested in collaborating on a DA community project? we have 7 members so far, but we will recruite lots more once the preparations are done

thanks, i appreciate your comment!
as for the collab, i'd really like to do it but i just don't think i'll have the time - i work full-time, and i'm attempting to set up a business as well as prepare to move out of florida to a different state, deal with a bank and an isp provider, and the list goes on. apart from that, you are welcome to use the model in any way you choose. sorry i can't offer more, but i'm looking forward to see how you use it in your project!

cheers!

ohh.. well, i don't use 3ds max but i exported a 3ds model from cinema 4d
c4d also has a GI which is probably very much like 3ds max's
