Basic ref sheet for my main OC Rose!

Name: Rosalina "Rose" Julianne
Age (that she is in her current ref): 36
Birthday: 26th November
Height: 5'8
Race information: Rose in an angel born without wings, and is therefore a 'Blackbird'. Blackbirds are looked down upon in society and forced to hide their angelic heritage to avoid harassment.

Ability/skill run down: Rose has fire based magic with a resistance to fire, with her hair being completely immune. While she has powerful fire magic, she was never taught to wield it properly and using it in large doses will backfire and explode in her face, injuring herself if she is caught in a large enough blast. She is extremely fast and agile, also being very flexible from her younger years when she was forced to study ballet. She was a sniper in her younger years in the military, and after the injury to her right eye was forced to fall back and readjust. She re-taught herself how to aim without part of her vision and is back to being as frighteningly accurate as before.

Personality: Rose is a strong leader with a very motherly personality. She is stern, yet all that she does is done with love. Her altruism is a trait she loves and despises as it often puts her in the mouth of the beast to save or help others. Rose falls into serious bouts of depression after combat when many people die as she feels survivors guilt very strongly. Her biggest fear/motivator is failure and her refusal to accept it.

NOTES BEFORE YOU READ THE STORY: This takes place in a land called Echaria. There are many races but the most prominent are humans, angels, demons, and hybrids (anthros basically). This society is very sexist, driven mainly by men. Women in power are hard to come by. It's also racist as angels are seen as the best race, with everyone else falling below and demons being the lowest class. There is a monstrous race of creatures called the Dusk (corrupt demons) that are almost like a plague onto the world, roaming villages and killing many people. Rose joins a military branch dedicated to fighting back the Dusk and helping the innocents. Demons are seen as less than everybody because they are the most closely related to the Dusk. There are two main religions, the Solar and Lunar Zenith. Demons mainly worship the moon and angels mainly worship the sun (not always though). The Solar Zenith's High Priest is the real ruler of Echaria, manipulating the King and Royal family to his will. Randall, Rose, and Ramsey are all related by blood in some way but are unaware of it until wayyy later into the story (their family tree is very complicated.)

Story ( A very brief and general summary ): Rose was born into a wealthy angelic family with her father being General to the City Watch. However, being born a blackbird brought shame upon her family and as a result, they tried to hide her from public eye. At age 15, against her parents wishes, Rose fled home in hopes of joining a military branch away from the Capital. She was accepted into the military, immediately receiving ridicule for being the only female to exist in that particular branch. The mockery died out on her first day however, when she showed up every other new recruit in both archery, obstacle courses, and timed sprints.

After several years of dedicated service, along the way meeting her partner in combat Randall, Rose was promoted to First Commander of her unit, taking leadership of over 600 soldiers. Her higher ups had always disliked Rose, for a woman surpassing men in this field was unthinkable, and used her promotion as an attempt to tear her down. On one of her first missions to capture territory, her higher ups fed her and her uit false information to ensure their failure. Rose found her unit cornered, her men being slaughtered under magic and gunfire. With no options left, Rose threw herself into the middle of enemy ranks and let go as much magic as she could, causing an explosion large enough to effectively wipe out most of the enemy forces. Her unit got away safely, but Rose's body was lost in the flames when they went to recover her.

Rose barely clung onto life as the fires died down. Her body was found by a rouge demon that was draw to the sounds of combat in the hours previous. In an attempt to save her life, the demon performed a blood ritual, infusing his blood with her own. The ritual worked, healing her fatal wounds. Her hair was bleached white in the process and her right eye could not be healed as it was too badly damaged. The demon took Rose in, revealing himself to be captain to an assassins guild living in the outskirts of the Capital. He took Rose in, nursing her back to help along side his guild, allowing her to stay until she was ready to return to the military.

When she returned to her unit several months later, her higher ups refused to allow her to resume position as Commander and turned her away due to her now corrupt blood and long absence. Her unit outraged by the decision rallied to Rose's side, all 600+ of them following Rose out of the military. Unsure of how to proceed with the soldiers that had left with her, Rose suggested opening up a brand new sector of the military, one away from the corrupt Generals. Everyone agreed to the idea, and opened their new branch of military called the Equinox, opening it to all.

The Equinox gained favour of the people almost immediately as people could see themselves in it's leader Rose. A female angel with demon's blood leading the charge against not only the Dusk, but against the Solar Zenith that controlled society for it's own benefit.

After over a decade of growth, the Equinox has swelled to become the second largest military/group in the whole land, and Rose's eyes are now set to take down the corrupt leaders that have threatened outcasts like her for a millennia.
