Description A Thousand Paper Cranes on a Trail of fear
By: Charles Phillips

I give myself to the word.
The word of my mind

Even though I cannot yet read it.
The spelling is rite but my brain is wrong.

I look at it from a far and up close and it makes no sense.
No sense the words stick into my head.

My head that is empty as we speak.
So I close my eyes to the crime of life and change my focus to you.

To you the pretty blue fairy of my dreams.
Granting my wishes as we speak.
The wishes of man,
of you,
of me,
of them.

I close them tighter until I can feel my eyes begin to hurt a bit.
Yet I still don't open them.
Out of fear,
Fear that everything will have changed.

Changed while I turned my head to the problem.

So I refocus on the word of my mind.

The world of the unread king,
The man,
The mask,
The Id.

I see the problem and it is me.
