Looking for Happiness on the Edge of a Sword(Lost in the mix of Translation)By: Charles Phillips
Looking into the broken shards of a window,
I wonder how the colors get to be that beautiful.
Feeling like your stuck in the same pot of total what was,
Wondering in the mind of the old me,
The deep me,
The lost me,
The me that once did the dumbest thing you could ever think.
Stand near the fire, it'll warm you up.
I look at all the pretty colors and wonder why,
Why I'm here and someone else isn't,
Why I'm still around when others deserve this great gift more then me,
Why the up to me seems down and the left is right.
It's no big deal I find myself saying all the time and at the sametime it's the biggest deal.
I'm being the old submissive me again.
It's killing me on the inside.
So I pick up the broken shards of the window and see myself as the picture.
But, I'm happy something I haven't been in a longtime,
It's become foreign to be happy.
Then I start to think to myself "How sad have I become that being Happy has become foreign."
I've become a foreign creature in my mind and it drives me crazy.
I've started to be happy again and my mind tells me not to.
Why can't I continue to be happy,
I'm making new friends,
I'm touching the clouds almost everyday,
I'm walking with God on my shoulder and in my heart,
But I'm still not happy
Is it that I'm afraid to be happy.
Or am I in such a need for it that I will do anything for it.
I just need to let go and find it.
My happiness,
My Cloud 9,
My closer step to Heaven,
My Me.
I need to find me plane and simple.
