The Gypsy Heart is born for the road
the sound of the heart beat matches up with the changing of the lights
I've been born a million times over
but I've never seen anything more beautiful than the road
and another town in my rearview
The pictures of the ones I've loved
and those I've met along the way
all the good times I've had
and all the good times I've missed
all the songs that I've danced to
and all the ladies I've kissed
I can't be apart of the world
but rather let the world be apart of me
I don't know what I'm doing or where I'm going
But the road is my wife
the road is my life
all the twists and turns have made me a better person
all the crazy things I've done have shaped me into the man I am
all the drunkin' fire proof nights
all the near death falls and bad games of life
These are my great book and I know that I will be able to store them all
That is until I lose my mind
The only thing that scares me the most
But, alas a gypsy heart is born to the road
the beats match that of the changing lights
All I need is an adventure
Because I'm ready for it to start.
