Description
Stop thinkingBy: Charles Phillips
She smiles,
Something I’m honestly not use too
Then again who can be use to it
That smile,
That smile that can light up the darkest place
Then she laughs,
The sweetest sound one can hear
That’s how you know she’s happy
Happiness I’m glad I finally get to see
Something I have missed the most
“Watch this!”
She says out loud
I turn only to see her spinning
The dress she picked out,
That I still swear was made just for her
Spinning in the breeze
And her own momentum
“No matter how old they get,
The smallest things matter the most.”
I say to her mother
She just looks at me
And snickers at me
All I can think,
Is all the moments I’ve missed
Justifying being too busy
Knowing there is no justifying it
So for now I’ll just soak in
All I can
And she’ll allow
It’s funny,
You never realise you is missed them growing
Until they’re grown
