the breath escapes
and we become one
trapped together in my heart

how I miss the feeling
the feeling of your touch
the gaze of your eyes
the sweet touch of your finger tips
especially as they work through my hair
letting me know that with you I'm complete
your smile wakes me like the morning sun
and your eyes entrance my every thought
and your movement starts my heart
you and I forever locked together
love isn't quite the word
you steal my breath with hello
and give it back in the same moment
I've been standing here waiting for you
and you've been looking straight at me
we never understood why we haven't said a word
the lifetime wasn't right and neither was the time
but we feel the net catch us here
All the twists you've been there
and I've watched you fall
in and out of love
and in and out of my arms
you're my first and only love
I've never needed another one
as long as I have you
the stars become a sheet
to our earthy bed
never sure what's going on
never together
