Mr. Vacher,
I was going to start harping a bit because "Spring" looks a lot like Christophe Vacher's "Spirit Rising" and then I took a closer look at your pen name. ^^ I am so giddy. I saw "Spirit Rising" in Rob Alexander's "Drawing and Painting Fantasy Landscapes and Cityscapes" and I have what is often referred to as 'perfect memory' so even though it had been a long time since I had read the book I was still able to recall the picture and everything perfectly. I cannot fathom why you are on DeviantArt! You're famous and I thought of DeviantArt as a place for people to be discovered by better art communities. People keep commenting with "beautiful" as if you need to be told, and "stunning" because they are surprised that a DeviantArtist has this level of professionalism. They don't realize that this is not a fluke -- you are a professional.
Okay. I have said what I can. I don't dare comment on a professional's work. I probably could give a decent critique because I recently learned how to compose a convincing one in my high school class called Art One... However, I will not even try because I would tell you nothing that you do not already know! XD
But I think I will say that I recognized your style, Sir. Sure, I recognized the white garment and brown hair of the woman but mostly I saw the affect of light on the sky ... and the woman. I recognized the haunting way you portray large or important objects by slightly blending? Is that it? It is mostly lighting, I suppose...
I will say this too, now that I have pulled out the book: I loved "A Land of Giants" most of all in the entire book. I have aspired to create such monumental works in the future. I am more of a watercolor girl, myself, because I cannot get oils to cooperate with me the way I wish. I am so hesitant, too! I really, really fell in love with "A Land of Giants." It haunted me. It showed beauty that was not normal. In a book of landscapes (usually pretty boring for a person whose main focus at present is portraying convincing humans) it stood out. It was not a landscape at all. The land was more expressive than any speaking, thinking being. Its mountains were not pretty things in the background! They were the focal point. It shook me. I wanted to be the man standing in the snow!
Oooooh. I said I wouldn't comment and I did, anyway. I won't erase what I said. I bet you have a feel for what I meant in my ignorant speech!
So, yes. I adore your work. (I adore DeviantArt for giving me an opportunity to speak with you! And to see your other works, too...) I am so thrilled that I have said my little tidbit.
No need to reply or anything... Professional as you are... Please do not become interested because of everything I have said because my gallery is a flop of scribbles. I am just using my voice.
I am so excited! I will go see your other works and hopefully will learn more about your stunning technique!
Sincerely,
Mariah Bryant (15 years old)

I love the colors and the way the light catches on her flowing white gown and the birds behind her. I know this piece is about Spring which it does capture beautifully, but if there is a heaven, I hope this is what it looks like!

Gggggod damn...this is real good. You must have alot of experience to nail everything so well: grass/flowers, the girl's dress, the birds, and of course the clouds and mountains. You should sell this...

The vibrant colors and lighting is just beautiful. It's also very inspirational not only to other artists but to writers as well. As a writer I'm always plagued with story ideas inspired by images and songs and things that happen in daily life. I love developing plots and characters that come from these inspirations. I wonder what her story could be?

This is a gorgeous painting! I love how tha fabric flows in the wind, it reminds me of the kind of paintings the old masters created. The background is stunning as well. It looks amazing, and it's certainly worthy of a DD!
