Description
In this image Quartz becomes more and more corrupted as the ghost known as Aurora is possessing him to use his animus powers. He's cursed. Quartz shut himself in this cave cell to protect his people as he fights Aurora for control, but Aurora found a loophole and she enchanted a puppet called Fall that walks around on the outside. Fall may be only able to cast spells in close enough proximity to the prison, but it can still be used to located existing animus objects too. Aurora’s goal is to escape her deteriorating prison and take control of the outside world. Quartz is the only thing that stands in her way.

In my au/general lore, if you’re losing yourself while trying to use magic, you can become corrupted and turn into a tentacled, three-eyed monster called a Pha. Though the corruption of the mind is reverseable at any stage (even after fully becoming a Pha), the scars of corruption are permanent. Quartz is only half corrupted so far. Outside of the au, this curse is self-inflicted to stop Aurora. Will Aurora escape before they're both lost in madness?
