Name: Nyle Idius

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Personality:
Nyle is very introverted, but likes spending time away from home just as much as he enjoys sitting in his room with a good book or gadget to mess around with. Even when he's with other people, if he's in a complex place like a large city, it's very easy for his mind to run away with him and lead him to wander off and get himself lost. He's also deeply empathetic, though often finds himself without the means to show it, since he's awkward when interacting with people around him.
One thing Nyle always had was his curiosity and naturally inquisitive nature. He always had trouble taking things at face value, and would hammer away at a question or problem without ever leaving it alone until he could come up with an answer that satisfied him. As such, information being withheld from him drives him absolutely crazy, to the point where his logic can very easily get shut off in his pursuit of answers. Others tend to perceive him as needlessly skeptical and meddlesome.

Backstory:

Nyle grew up in a quiet mountain town called Adarn. He was raised by his mom (Laurel Idius), dad (Hayden Idius), and his mom's girlfriend (Lacina Odaira). All three of them loved Nyle like a son, and Nyle had a deep respect and fascination for Miss Odaira in particular, being regaled by her stories whenever she would take a break from her work in her hometown and come to visit the family in Adarn.
Nyle basically lived in his hometown his whole life, only hearing from Miss Odaira the tales of her hometown, Aemilia, a city in the middle of a technological boom where several fantastical species gather together in the form of half-humans and share their tricks of the trade. To Nyle, the place sounded amazing, and he made plans to go there someday to become an inventor. But what he didn't know is that he'd be relocated there at the age of seventeen, under some tragic and unexpected circumstances.
In short, Nyle's curiosity led him to end up in a situation which left him missing his eye, and officially marked by a particularly nasty demon. Miss Odaira was forced to bring him back to Aemilia in order to protect him, and replaced his lost eye with that of a different demon. This was not an ideal solution, but it was the best option she had.
From that, this demon named Orograppi (who I'll get to posting, by the way!) was able to make his way back into the mortal world in some small way, though only Nyle could see and interact with him, and he in turn couldn't interact with the physical world, only spiritual beings. It was, funny enough, Nyle's connection to a demon that helped him to become a demon hunter himself, helping other people sever their dangerous ties to demons before it became too late for them.
