Part one of the "Graphite Series", fractal pieces that resemble pencil shaded drawings.

Order is another one of those fractals that has the dubious distinction of being my most rendered. All of the Julian based flames are very finicky and tedious for me to get just right. I like the structure of Order, but the piece uploaded to dA didn't hold up to the test of time.

This year I stumbled upon Order again and was messing around until I realized I had found a very interesting texture. From a distance, it looks like a pencil (graphite) drawing. It is a technique that is very dependent on the shape of the flame; it does not work well on every Julian/rings2 fractals.
