I have a serious question, but it's a little vulgar. Don't laugh! Is the bleeding fruit supposed to be a representation or foreshadowing of Eve's "punishment" - menstruation and childbirth? The open fruit resembles a vagina, to me at least. That was my immediate interpretation, heh ._.

I absolutely love this piece. The very subtle use of color throughout the image, barely noticeable against the black and white, and the very vibrant red that just seems to pop out against the rest of the image.
