You've done a great job with some of the expressions -- I think the 3rd and 9th are definitely the most realistic. I do get male from all of them except the 8th, which definitely reads female, to me. The hair definitely pushes it towards female, but I think it's also the eyes and cheekbones that seem female to me. FYI.
Excellent work on the shading, and the costumes are just gorgeous.
