Mello!
One of L's succesors.
I know so little about him, though (even if I SO like him next to L). All I know is that he's cool and likes chocolate and he carries guns and shades (which I forgot
) and rides a motorcycle and more of an extrovert when compared to Near (hey, I also love Near.). Always hot in leather, though.Still scribbly. But I think I like the squiggles here.
It's been a while since I drew solo characters. But I was too inspired with Mello's get-up ( here I made this one. I don't have much copy of Mello.
) so I made one for him. Still practicing Obata-sensei's art...

Ooh..lovely job on him. The effects and background are just really pretty there, and of course Mello himself just stands out nicely there.
Heh, it's an easy mistake to slip up and think he's a 'she' at first glance (sort of like Envy in FMA..there are still people that are confused about that one!), especially in one of Obata's early character designs, where Mello's without his gloves and wearing black nail polish and looking all sexy-ish. There's another rougher, earlier design shown in 'How To Read 13' when he was initially designed as looking 'cutesy' and not in leather, and though he doesn't exactly look feminine, he definitely looked less tougher and not as..'Mello'.
Nice to see DN art around here always, especially of the later characters too!
