Here's a little hommage for Tina Turner, the legendary singer and actress which passed away this May 2023 at the age of 82. Amongst her hits like "Simply the Best", "What's Love Got To Do With It", "Proud Mary", "We Are The World", and more, the one which I'll always remember the most is: "We Don't Need Another Hero", the theme song from the 1985 movie Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. The third movie from the original Mad Max trilogy, starring Mel Gibson in the lead character, Tina Turner played the leader of a village with idyllic front but with a dark underground. This song "We don't Need Another Hero" reference a better world where the right way shouldn't be presented by a single "hero", with often doubtful intentions, but rather by the individuals themselves which desire change.

Her legendary and nuanced voice, linked with the out-of-this world instrumentation, made this song a memorable experience which I had to make a creation upon.

The picture represent two kids that run toward the light and a new world under that light, leaving behind the destruction, the ruins, desert, darkness, etc; and in the french version, I also translated it to my native language, as if it would have been sung in French:

A little bizarre trivia, I actually had begun working on this creation way begore learning of her death. It was 4 days after the opening of this project that we all learned this sad news. So I immediately knew that this project had become the hommage to this extraordinary woman.

So Tina, I telle you from the bottom of my heart: "We indeed do not need heroes to change our lies; you left an extraordinary mark, your light shone stronger and further than you could image, and I hope that you are shining even brighter where you now are."
