That is a very cool and funny piranha!
Are you going to paint it?

Nope, I'm not going to paint it. I'm concentrating on my sculpting skills first. Maybe I'll paint it in the future.
Thanks for the nice comment

I haven't put any of my drawing up here yet, but I drew a nearly exact replica and was wondering if you would mind if I put it up here (with reference to you of course.

A long time ago a asked if I could use your Piranha in a picture, so here it is; [link]
If you could tell me how to rotate the pic that would be cool too

Wow, nice to see a drawing of it
It really came out great.
As for your question, it's a bit of an odd one But, there are 2 ways.
1) You can use any graphic software program to rotate the picture you scanned.
2) If you do not have any graphic software you could scan it again, but the other way around.

Maybe someday. If I paint it, it would be airbrush. But I know nothing about that skill. First I want to get the sculptural skill perfect.

Very humorous character! Love it! Did you ever tried to work with air dry clay like Magic-Sculpt?

Clayed In reply to dreamleaf [2008-05-10 19:19:47 +0000 UTC]
Yes I did. I use Aves Apoxy. I used magic sculpt ones but it is more expensive.
I only use it for the core of my sculptures. I personally find it to hard to work with when it comes to detailing. It's to sticky and you have to wait a long time before it is hard.
What's your experience with epoxy clays?

No experience yet, just looking forward to play with it. I have seen some really good tutorials for this media and I am very curious and excited to try it.

It surely makes the annoying and tedious procedure of baking disappear and it is as hard as stone. 2 major advantages. But still very hard to work with in my opinion.
Let me know if you like it and if you've got any tips for working with it.

May I as for a beginner that would love to play around with this type of medium. What would the basic tools you would recommend to buy or use to create cool characters like this one you just posted?
