Description
-
You can run from your demons,
You can roam far and wide,
Still your legs will carry you to the sea.
-
I can swim,
I can hide,
I can climb, way up high.
Still it's me they find.
-
They find me ragged on these tired paws of mine.
Struggling to find the strength for another stride.
They wait for me to stumble,
They wish I'd fall and die,
They know they cannot push me,
So they wait and whisper lies.
-
The lies are like daggers,
Stabbing me all at once,
They say I'm sick,
That I'm a burden,
Had I died no one would mourn the loss.
