and if you leave me, rest assured it would kill mePresenting Crowspark and Cypressbird, from left to right!
These two are from one of my old (and unfortunately lost) Clan of DuneClan. I have up to moon 184 logged in google docs and I reread through all of it yesterday- and came across these two. I've got TONS of lore mentally stored in my head at the moment, and I'm going to let loose and dump it all here with a picture of kitties.

Crowspark is bloodthirsty and determined. He's a good hunter and joined the Clan as a kit, found starving on a patrol in the snow. The Clan deputy at the time, Lizardflake, took him in and adopted the little tom, becoming his adopted mother. He got into the normal kit trouble as a troublesome kit he was. He snuck out of camp twice, tried to get his denmates to run away with him, and tripped and sprained his rock plenty of times.
Then he became an apprentice, and met Cypresspaw, soon to be Cypressbird.
Cypressbird was Clanborn, born to one of the Clan's elders and the former medicine cat. Her parents were in the 90s–100s (moons) and quite old, leading to her mother birthing just two kits: Cypresskit and her sister, Owlkit. Cypresskit was a shy kit, while her sister was an attention-seeker. She and her sister got along well but never really bonded. Cypresskit became an apprentice on Moon 24, when Crowkit was found in the snow. She didn't think much of him until he moved into the apprentices' den.
Crowpaw and Cypresspaw treated each other as normal denmates until around the early moon-30's. The two apprentices went on a patrol together and with their mentors. Soon after entering the territory, the patrol was attacked by dogs. On this patrol Cypresspaw saved the life of Crowpaw, getting herself injured while doing so and getting confined to the medicine den. Crowpaw, during this time, was feircely loyal. For the next two moons he told funny jokes to Cypresspaw, brought her food, and eavesdropped on her to make sure she was okay. But Crowpaw was called away from this to train, as he still had to do. While her friend trained, Cypresspaw's wound grew more and more infected and it looked as if she wouldn't survive it.
During this time (I) thought it would be great if Owlpaw and Crowpaw could bond together for storyline purposes, with them both being concerned about Cypresspaw's injury, so I put them on patrols together. To my surprise they always ended up not interacting, shushing each other, or quarreling. Once in the moon events bar I saw that Crowpaw was injured when battle training with Owlpaw (that's where hsi eye scar came from). When I looked into Owlpaw's relationships I saw that Owlpaw barely liked and was jealous of her sister, and strongly disliked and disrespected Crowpaw. This changed my current storyline, and I was forced to change my entire interpretation as I knew it.
Owlpaw was jealous of her sister. At the time, her personality was shameless, so she would be very loud about her dislike with her sister. I checked on Crowpaw's relationship with her, and he was also disliking her. I think that Crowpaw would often try to verbally demote her sister, trying to stifle the praise always chasing Cypresspaw. Crowpaw didn't like this, and the two butted heads.
Aside from that, in the late 30s to early 40s moons Cypresspaw finally got better and finally became a warrior alongside Owlpaw and Crowpaw- the three becoming Cypressbird, Crowspark, and Owlstem. Life was pretty normal up then- Cypressbird's mom died, a flood swept away some of the cats, whatever. I kept putting the three of them on patrols hoping they would make up and be friends again, but Owlstem just began to hate everyone else more and more and Crowspark and Cypressbird continued being friends.
Finally, in the events bar (I love when this happens) Crowspark and Cypressbird became mates. All of their positive relationship categories (ikyk- respect, comfort, plat. love) were entirely green.
It was fine- Owlstem got a mate of her own and had a litter of three, the Clan was healthy.
Suddenly this popped up in my events bar:
Crowspark murdered Owlstem in cold blood and made it look like an accident.
WHOA WHOA WHOA.
I was suprised. Murder-? I knew Crowspark was bloodthirsty. But murder is very, very bad-
And for Crowspark- what- DUDE YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE A GOOD GUY C'MON
I was going to divorce that man, and probably exile him too- but when I checked on his thoughts and his mates- I was suprised.
Crowspark was upset and wasn't getting out of his nest. And Cypressbird was consoling Rubblekit (one of Owlstem's kits) from a nightmare. Crowspark was guilty and felt bad and Cypressbird was trying to help her family cope.
So I kept him, seeing what he would do.
The Clan gossiped, started rumors, and blah blah blah. But all through it Crowspark and Cypressbird coped...Crow would lapse into depression and angst, and Cypress would just...exist.
Nothing drama-like ever happened since then. Crowspark mentored a few apprentices. Cypressbird gave birth to a litter of three, all but one dying before their warrior ceremonies. They just kept on loving each other until their deaths (greencough)
