I was chatting with BettaZ(on PonyIsland) this morning and I was kinda in the mood to draw something different than what I've been working on commissions wise and I asked if he'd like an avatar. He said he did but wasn't sure what he wanted on it. Me, being the smart alec that I am suggested a Betta fish. XD He agreed and this was the result!He wanted semi realistic but not completely so I think I accomplished that well. This was the first time I've ever drawn a betta fish and I am very proud of it.
He said this coloring is called "Mustard Gas" I believe? XD It's really awesome though. I love opposite colors together.

Wow! This is awesome! You did do a really good job of being semi-realistic, but not completely ^_^ The outline and the eyes lend a SLIGHTLY cartoony feel to it, but the shading and everything else makes it feel wonderfully alive ^_^
