She had conquered him. He had been destroyed. He blushed and felt his heartbeat getting faster. Just a few seconds from now and she would turn around, she would leave the League and he would leave Hoenn like he planned. Leaving to never see her again. It was all wrong, the time, the place. He was so selfish. Maybe in a next life, maybe in a few years. What would he give to believe that.
There. She smiled at him shyly, blue jewels radiated at him happy and sad at the same time and then she turned around to go, to leave the ex-champ behind.
It happened so sudden, that he forgot how he did it but he stretched out a hand in reflex to grab her tender arm and turned her around hastily. To see her eyes again ... Just once more.
