Hey! Hmm. What do you mean by mentoring? What would you like me to do?

Well I would like to learn how to draw good digital art without a drawing pad so I wanted to watch you do one of your drawings to help learn new tecneiques without a drawing pad.

Hmm. I don't have much time to do digital drawings now and when I do, I mostly use a drawing tablet. (Still, even though I have a drawing tablet, I use computer mouse to draw quite often!)
I have to think about this.

Well Yes mentoring. I want to learn how to draw digital art well, I do not own a drawing pad which makes it hard for me to do digital art.

Well, it took me quite a lot of practice. Firstly and most importantly drawing on paper with pencil, secondly drawing with a computer mouse. I begin most of my pictures with a pencil sketch, which I scan or make a photo of and then over-paint digitally. When I paint over the sketch I zoom into the picture (around 300%) - this helps to make the lines drawn with the mouse more precise and smooth. The image I work on is often twice as big as I plan it to be (for instance, if I want to draw something which has 300x300px of width, I make the filesize 600x600px and work on the bigger file. After I finish the picture I scale it down to 300x300px.) This helps to raise the quality of the image.
After zooming into the picture I simply paint very carefully over the sketch. I often use the Ctrl + Z shortcut (undo) and eraser when I make mistakes. Usually I also use paths which help making the lineart very smooth (you can learn what they are and how to use them in this tutorial [link] - for Photoshop or this [link] for GIMP).
Tutorials - that's another thing. I recommend reading them, there are plenty of useful tutorials here on deviantART. Experimenting is also a great way of learning. And, most importantly of all, practice, practice, practice!
Good luck!

If you have a specific picture (or pictures) you'd like me to comment on, please send me the link to it and I'll see what I can do After looking through your gallery the first thing that came to my mind was that you could try to draw something in realism. I mean, you don't need to be super-realistic and go into great details, just sketch some animals from photos for example. It teaches a lot. You can google some animals you want to draw and sketch those pictures which you find interesting. And when you do, try to observe how the body works. Focus on the general proportions and shape. You may try to find answers to these questions: how do legs look in different positions? How are they connected to the body? Where do ears stick out of the head? Where does the tail grow out from and how does it behave? How does the muzzle look from the profile or from the front?
One more thing - you don't have to draw everything with one strong line. When you practice drawing from photos, try beginning from a delicate sketch, like in this tutorial . It helps to capture the right proportions and position.

Just keep trying from time to time and I'm sure at some point it will "click" for you. I believe it's worth trying anyway. Many artists I know got much better in drawing from head after practicing realism.
